Fix 4: Check if the Extensions or Add-ons are causing the issue I have the same issue with my Windows 8 laptop and my Windows 7 desktop. This problem only occurs on after startup the first time I open Chrome. After I close the second window, Chrome runs flawlessly. Once the scan finishes, it notifies about any viruses and malware in the system.
